Sora Xenara - My Pen Name

Going Places That One Can Only Dream About

Sora Xenara is the pen name I chose for my sci-fi books. Sora explores the thin line between humanity and the unknown, focusing on first-contact stories and hard science fiction. Sora creates worlds where ordinary people face extraordinary questions—about identity, survival, and morality. These are sci-fi adventures, with humor and a touch of romance. No explicit sexual scenes—he keeps those memories to himself.

The Man Behind Sora Xenara

Just An Old Guy Keeping Busy

I've been reading science fiction since I was thirteen, reading all the great sci-fi books by the masters of the day. When health problems ended my career as a professional bowler, I opened several bowling pro shops in Reno and Sparks, but sold or closed them in 2016. When health issues prevented me from bowling, I discovered my true passion: writing science fiction. I wrote and published my first novel, The Mars Decision, and have just released my second, The Edge of Extinction. Now I'm living the dream I didn't realize I was chasing. These are just some of the stories that have lived in my mind for decades. I would appreciate a review from anyone who has read any of my books.

Welcome to the Alien1 eBooks website. If you're into science fiction, you know that this is the only way we will be able to travel to the stars, meet aliens, and explore new worlds. The words created here will range from first contact and saving the planet to stopping wars, overthrowing evil empires, Satire, and a little romance to keep the characters happy. A satisfied character is highly motivated and goes beyond the call of duty to impress their mate.

I started reading around age 11, when my father would read the Sunday comics to me (that was 68 years ago). One Sunday, when I brought him the comics page, he said, "Read it, but I gave it my best shot.” When I started reading, I found I really enjoyed it. I skipped children's books and started reading titles like "White Fang," "Call of the Wild," "Old Yeller," and a few others — those are the ones I remember.

Then I picked up a sci-fi book, and I couldn't put it down. After 50 years of reading the best sci-fi authors, my expectations are pretty high. Not many current sci-fi writers today measure up to those early pioneers. Too many involve endless space and land battles that drag on. Galaxies in flames. I felt that, even though the number of sci-fi books has increased, the quality of those books has declined.

Recently, after a fruitless search for a decent sci-fi book to read and not finding any, I thought, "I think I write better sci-fi than this stuff." I guess I will find out. Feel free to buy one and share your opinion with me, whether good or bad. A little encouragement and constructive criticism would help me improve.
